Den 25e november kommer Qualcomm Ventures till Stockholm för att träffa svenska ”wireless companies” och söker nu rätt bolag att träffa. Såhär beskriver dom vad dom letar efter:

Qualcomm Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of Qualcomm Inc.- the world’s leading wireless chipset company, will visit Stockholm on 25th of November to meet with wireless companies for possible investment.

Their focus is on a four key areas:

Handset/Enabling Technologies- including batteries, cameras, keyboards and novel materials, such as plastic electronics. (Current portfolio companies include A123 Systems (batteries) and InvenSense, whose components enable the Wii controller)

Consumer Technologies-  consumer hardware and consumer internet/services. (Previous investments include Handspring, PayPal and Jamdat; current investments include Buzzd, Juicecaster and Obopay.)

Operator Infrastructure – both hardware and software. (QV are investors in ip.access (femtocells) and Arieso (network planning and optimization software))

Medical Technologies – the convergence of medical care and wireless technology- both hardware and services. (Current investments include Triage Wireless (remote vitals monitoring) and Chealcomm (Japanese health MVNO).
