Pitch like a Seasoned Silicon Valley Entrepreneur (Nov 4th)

What are the fundamentals of pitching to Silicon Valley VC’s? Are they listening to you? Are they paying attention? Are they interested? Many companies are pitching for the same funding capital, therefore it’s critical that the delivery and quality of your presentation be in shape to grab their attention and advance you towards that capital.

Join Stinson Partners in a full day workshop on Nov 4th to prepare you for pitching to the Silicon Valley investment community. The workshop is led by a 20+ year veteran of Silicon Valley, who has close ties with many Silicon Valley venture capitalist and is an expert in the do’s and don’ts of pitching to Silicon Valley investors.

Invest in Sweden Agency is hosting this workshop as a preparation for the companies that will join our investor event in Silicon Valley November 10th but participation is open also for others.

We will provide the standard Silicon Valley formats and give hands-on explanation of the components that must be provided to the corporate investor and venture capital community.

In the morning session, we’ll focus on all aspects of pitching to Silicon Valley investors;

1. Presentation elements that are required and fundamental for pitching

2. Detail description of each element including the key component of the value proposition

3. Guidelines on how to pitch, the audience’s expectation and interaction

In the afternoon , well discuss the ‘soft’ issues that will arise during your time with the investors;

1. Characteristics of a Silicon Valley venture capitalist? How do they judge investment cases? What is their business thinking in the current climate?

2. Preparation for investor’s questions that may arise off-line, during the lunch break or on the phone.

3. How to prepare your responses when asked about an exit. The ‘exit’ question will arise, what is the best response?

4. The Silicon Valley Engine: The basics on how the Valley operates? What’s the essential eco-system that an international company must belong to? What is the working culture of Silicon Valley companies?

Lastly, we’ll practice the first 2 slides of each companies pitch. These first 2-3 minutes are the most critical for any presenter, so ensure that you’ll keep their attention and get them excited in your business proposal.

The workshop will be held on November 4rd from 9.00 – 17.00, with a lunch break at noon. The costs are 5 000 kr for the first person, 2 500kr for the second person. We will need your registration before Oct 31.

About the Speaker:

(SME’s) to corporate publicly listed companies.

Prior to the founding of BG Strategy in 2001, Ms. Rauchwerger was responsible for business capture strategies, worldwide expansion of business opportunities, and generating and managing contract bids of mulit-million dollar projects in companies such as Alcatel, Lockheed Martin, TRW and Varian. Her international experience includes working and living in France, Germany, Sweden and China. Her hands-on experience as an entrepreneur managing a global company enables her to understand the dynamics of a business environment from a personal perspective.
